Green Frequently Asked Questions |

 |
- Why don't you list the product's selling price on your site?
We do not list pricing for products due to the variations in the price structure across the many different retailers and markets in the country. The easiest thing to do is to save the products you are interested in, in your "Wish List" located on the site. You can then print out the list and take it to your local retailer for pricing. In the future, we hope to allow you to send your list to a select group of retailers for pricing.
- Why don't you sell the products that are listed on your site?
The site is dedicated to listing a large variety of products so that users can research the products, compare and review comments or leave comments about the products. Since we are not a retailer or distributor and since there is such a large amount of products listed on the site, we are unable to sell the products at this time.
- I cannot find a place to purchase a product that I am interested in, where can I find it at?
We suggest that you visit the manufacturer's website to find distributors or retailers in your area or to contact them directly on how to obtain their products.
- What is Green Building?
Green building means moving from standard practices to "best practices" by emphasizing quality construction, energy efficiency, indoor air quality, conservation of water and other natural resources, and thoughtful community planning. The goal is to make sure that the homes built or remodeled today will last longer, cost less to operate, won't harm people's health, and won't put unnecessary stresses on the environment. By safeguarding natural resources and improving the quality of our homes, we can help people, communities and ecosystems thrive today and for generations to come.
- What does VOC mean?
VOC stands for Volatile Organic Compound. VOC's are any organic compound that readily evaporates into the atmosphere at room temperature. VOC's contribute to smog and certain health problems. VOC's often have noticeable odors and examples include gasoline, lighter fluid, caulks, sealants, adhesives, and paints. By utilizing low VOC caulks, sealants, adhesives, paints and other items in your home, you reduce the possibility of health problems and increase the quality of the air you and your family breathes.
- How do I get a product listed on your site?
If you have a "Green" product, please use the Contact Us link and send the information to us to review. Please be sure to include your email address or that of someone we can contact in case we need further information in order to properly list the product.
- What do I do if I purchased a product that is listed on your site and it does not work properly or as intended?
This site is just a site to be used for research products and compare them with others. We make no representation that the products will work properly or will pass any local building code requirements. We recommend that you visit the company's website to learn more and review their specifications and other documentation prior to purchasing any product. In the event the product does not work properly or as intended, we invite you to post a comment about the product. In addition, you should contact the manufacturer or retailer to discuss with them the proper procedure for returning the product.
